SOLVED: Netbeans FTP uploads fails on Windows and JDK 7

Netbeans FTP uploads to a remote site fail after upgrading to JDK 7.

Because NetBeans is running on Windows and JDK 7

The issue is related to new features introduced in JDK7 FTP and by default blocked by Windows Firewall.


1. Run cmd.exe as an administrator

.run cmd as administrator

2. Run the following command in cmd:

netsh advfirewall set global StatefulFTP disable


You are done, try Netbeans FTP uploads now.
